Welcome to Burke's Tavern
Once
upon a time there lived two brothers... sometimes we wish it were as
easy as a fairy tale. It all started in November of 1999. My brother,
Rusty, and I were both bartending and enjoying the lifestyle that
accompanied the job. We were working at the same bar for about five
years when I realized just how compatible we are. We shared the same
enthusiasm for the business and also the dislike of working for someone
else. My girlfriend at the time, now Mrs. James Burke, found a seafood
restaurant on Route 611 in Mt. Pocono that was for sale. The rest, as
they say is history. People ask how we, as brothers, can work so
closely together. We answer them with our shared philosophy that
reflects what we look for in a quality restaurant. What we came up with
is what you see today. "GOOD FOOD AT A GOOD PRICE IN A GREAT
ATMOSPHERE!" So enjoy yourself and don't be shy because you are a guest
in our home.
